Bodywise International, Inc. is a company that marketed a body supplement claiming the supplement called AG IMMUNE was proven effective in the treatment of AIDS, cancer, and many other serious diseases that are specifically enumerated in the Health & Safety Code as diseases that no one can claim any products effect. The FTC had a prior injunction against this company for the way they had previously marketed a diet product. The FTC and the District Attorney jointly negotiated a settlement with this company which consisted of an injunction prohibiting them from doing this type of marketing and paying $3.5 million in civil penalties and costs to the two agencies.
